I am not one to be a reader. I cannot sit down for hours and read books or anything like that. I am just not the best with interpreting people’s work or knowing what most big words mean. So when it comes to the Bible, I struggle a lot. I can never read a whole chapter without getting sidetracked. But I did find one book that I felt I could understand and that was Romans. Paul is a very plain and simple writer so if you are like me and struggle with reading big books or interpreting text, read Romans.

But one thing I really love, is verses. I feel like verses help me through so much. I just say them to myself and they can get me through anything.

During a middle school summer camp where I was a leader, we had to go on this thing called high ropes. Basically it was a trust exercise. You would climb up this wooden ladder, then walk across a rope while holding onto a rope, then just walk on a rope, and then try and jump to this bar (which no one could even get close to). Well when I was walking across the rope with nothing to hold onto, being 30+ feet in the air, all I had was a cross in front of me. The people who were manning my harness, kept telling me not to look down. Because if you look down then you would fall. So I have anxiety and I actually started to panic in the middle of the rope. But what I realized was that I should be saying a verse and look at the cross. I kept repeating to myself, Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”. And it helped me get across. I just kept saying it over and over. Verses are very powerful.

Here are some of my favorite verses I wanted to share with you all! Comment down below and let me know what your favorite verses are!
